George Gabriel Gobron, 75 of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Hospice House in Harrison.
The son of Gabriel Gaston Gobron and Virginia Evelyn (Edwards) Gobron was born August 11, 1942 at Woodland, California. He was a resident of Lead Hill since February 2006, moving here from California. He attended Lakeway Fellowship Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Vietnam War.
George collected M&M's and was a practical joker, always quick with a prank or joke. He was a hard worker, working for 29 years for Yolo County, California drafting and mapping the county; after he moved to Arkansas, he worked for 5 years at Enchanted Marble and has done seasonal work for the last 10 years for the City of Branson, until he retired in December of 2017.
He was a wonderful husband, and awesome father and grandpa and a great provider for his family. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his Uncle Dan, and three brothers, Loyd Campbell, Jim Campbell and Darryl Campbell.
George is survived by his wife of 47 years, Syble Gobron of the home; his son, Gabriel Gene Gobron and wife Victoria of Gold Beach, Oregon; his daughter, Felicy Marie Colbron and husband Lawrence of Nashville, Tennessee; his "special daughter", Charlotte Smith and husband Brian of Gastonia, North Carolina; his brother, Daniel Alexander Gobron and wife Michelle of Harrison, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Darlene and Pat; a brother-in-law, Cecil and wife Linda; six grandchildren, Nocil, Kylie, Dakota, Meghan, Joey and Jacob; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
