George Edwin Ferree, age 87 of Deer, AR, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home in Deer.

The son of George and Ruth (Brodman) Ferree was born March 27, 1931 in Chenoa, Illinois.

George moved from Hot Springs Village, AR. to Deer, AR., where he lived for 16 years.  He was a professor at the University of Illinois.  He was also in the Army where he served in the Korean War as a Combat Engineer.

He is survived by his wife Helen Ferree; his sons, Dave, Dan, and Chris Ferree; his daughters, Danielle Escalante and Sabrina Escalante; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

Cremation and arrangements are with Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper, AR.
