George Edward Bump, age 84 of Harrison, AR, formerly of Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in Harrison.
The son of Bert and Dovie (Starkey) Bump, was born February 23, 1923 in La Salle-Peru, IL.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Marines during WWII and worked at Precision Diamond Tool Company in Elgin.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Hazel (Rosenburg) Bump; three brothers, Elwood "Buster" Bump, Arthur Bump and Donald Bump; and two sisters, Pauline Fisher and Dorothy Thacker.
Survivors are his son, Dennis Bump and his wife, Pamela of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Tyler Jon Bump, Jamie Bump, Jennalyn Bump, all of Littleton, CO; and sisters, Lucille Sholle and Evelyn Ziolkowski, both of Illinois.
Service was Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Coffman Chapel in Harrison. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tyler Jon Bump, Jamie Bump, Ed Rosenburg, Lorin Fox, Norman Fox, and Marshall Fox. Visitation was open at Coffman Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1233 N. Broadway, Yellville, AR 72687.
