Obituary
Genevieve Brasel went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2014.
The daughter of Leo and Ruby (Daniels) Roberson was born on September 22, 1943 at Parthenon, Arkansas.
She had worked for 25 years at the Jasper School and was a lifetime resident of Newton County. Gen enjoyed watching Dylan's basketball games; working in her yard; late night Sorry games with her sisters and friends; four-wheeling; and seeing the country on her summer trips with her traveling buddies. She attended the Buffalo Church and loved her Lord and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Hubert Roberson; two sisters Gelene Lamb and Genell Buckle and a niece Pam Hendershot.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Doug and Dawn Brasel; one sister and brother-in-law Linda and Ronnie Kilgore; one grandson Dylan Kilgore; eleven nieces and nephews; twenty-one great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces and nephews. Also, many other family and friends.
Funeral service was Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with James Compton and Billy Paul Matlock officiating. Burial followed in Jasper Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Kilgore, Rob Kilgore, Tim Roberson, Scott Roberson, Keith Roberson, Kevin Roberson, Dylan Kilgore and Logan Bryant. Honorary pallbearers are Payton Bauer and the entire staff of Jasper School.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church of your choice or Hospice.
