Obituary
Gene Walton Murray, age 72 of Harrison, AR passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at his home.
The son of Floyd and Ada (Eoff) Murray, was born July 3, 1934 at Valley Springs, AR. Gene had been a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. He worked as a route salesman and when he was able, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gun and knife trader.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Mary Jo Murray, in 1999, and brothers, Eldrid and Hammel Murray.
Survivors are his son, Granvel Murray and his wife, Bonnie of Harrison; his daughter, Deborah Ragland and her husband, Mike of Harrison; a brother, Lowell Murray of Vendor; grandchildren, Grant and Ashley Ragland and Anthony and Logan Murray. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation was Thursday, April 5, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Graveside service was held at 10 A.M. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. Pallbearers were Hayden Graddy, Curt Williams, Dorvin Jones, Eddie Young, Billy Ed Hefley, and Rick W. Anderson.
