IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gene Autry
Davis
October 13, 1937 – September 24, 2020
Gene Autry Davis, 82 of Bergman, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at home.
The son of James Robert and Ova (Massengale) Davis was born in Savage, Kentucky on October 13, 1937. He moved his family to Arkansas in 1974. He was a member of House of Prayer and Dominion Life Church, where he also helped build the church.
Gene was a hard worker and liked to stay busy. He worked at Pepsi for over 20 years and Z-Tech at Mckesson until retiring. He loved God and started going to church in 1968. He did not waiver in his beliefs.
He enjoyed carpentry and buying cars. Gene was stubbon and the right way to do things was always his way. He was good hearted, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather, with a mischievous side, and everyone in the family has been a victim of his pranks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren, Matthew Massey and Remicah Reese.
Gene is survived by his wife of 61 years, Reva Davis; 4 children, Larita Wilson, Deborah Reese, Cheryl Davis and Randall Davis and wife Tonya; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Howard Ferguson; 3 sisters-in-law, Hazel Davis, Edith Davis and Ann Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and his church family.
Services will be at 2 PM, Monday, September 28 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Bro. Coma Rivers officiating. Burial will follow at York Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Dustin Reese, Bruce Pratt, Stephen Robertson, Brian Darr and Tony Davis. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, and the Congregations of Dominion Life Church and House of Prayer.
In accordance with Covid-19 mandates, all attendees over age 10 must provide and wear fact masks and observe social distancing.
