Gelene (Dotson) Campbell, age 84 of Mt. Judea, AR, passed away December 4, 2021, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.

Gelene was born on February 2, 1937, in Mt. Judea, AR to Roy and Edna (Davis) Dotson.

Gelene worked at Levi Strauss for 32 years.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and she loved the Lord.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with her family.

Gelene was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life Calmus Peter Campbell, who she married on April 4, 1953; three brothers, Jimmie, Raymond, and Russell Dotson; one sister, Eileen Campbell; a son, Doyal Ray Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Donnie Fay Campbell; two grandchildren, Melissa Fay Campbell and Clyde Humphrey; and five great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dominick, Shaylin, Koale, and Jacob.

Gelene is survived by, her son, Daril Wayne and Carolyn Campbell of Deer, AR; her daughters, Doris and Rene Ainley of Clarksville, AR, Ruthie and Glen Middleton of Western Grove, AR, Shirley and Robert Humphrey of Lurton, AR and Donnie and Shaunie Reddell of Piercetown, AR;  her sisters, Anne Mepherson of Buffalo, MO and Edith Dotson Budro of Clinton, AR; her sister-in-law, Ruth Dotson of Cameron, MO; her brother-in-law, Robert Campbell of Vendor, AR; seventeen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Smith Cemetery in Vendor, AR with Brother Harold Smith officiating.

Pallbearers will be Gelene's grandsons: Harley, Shannon, Chancy, Kelis, Trance, Curt, Rodney, Jesse, Randy, Clint, and Arlis.

Honorary pallbearers are Gelene's granddaughters: Christi, Vanessa, Crystal, Serena, Kayla, and Michell, and all her great-grandchildren.
