Obituary
Gearl D. Gosha, age 69 of Lead Hill, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. John's Health Systems in Springfield, MO. He was born June 11, 1940 at Moro, Arkansas, the son of Lige and Lela(Mize) Gosha.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and worked as a commercial truck driver. He moved to this area about 35 years ago from Alton, Illinois. He enjoyed planting trees, working with flowers and gardening. His special joy was spending time and having fun with his 8 year old grandson, Hunter.
His parents; one brother, Franklin Gosha; and one sister, Jean Billingsley all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, LaJuan Gosha of the home; a son, Gearl Gosha, Jr.and wife Sheryl of Searcy, Ar; two daughters, Lela Gosha of Searcy, AR and Teresa Pontillas and her husband, Dr. Job of Nixa, MO; one brother, Shelby Gene Gosha of Clarendon, AR; two sisters, Imogene James and husband Bobby of Stuttgart, and Virginia Gosh of Clarendon,Ar; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-8 PM and service, Wednesday, 2:00 PM both at Coffman Funeral Home with Dandy Welch and Doyle Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Milum Cemetery, Lead Hill.
Pallbearers are Cody, Andy, Jason,and Don Austin, Bobby Higgins, and Robert Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Frank and Joe Higgins, Dr. Roy Lee and Bill Hacker.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
