Gavin Ryan Amick, of Mt. Judea, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in North Augusta, South Carolina. He was 32 years old.
The son of Larry (Bit) Amick and Crystal (Odom) Jordan was born on May 28, 1992, in Mobile, Alabama.
Gavin moved from Mobile, AL to Mt. Judea in 2006. He graduated from Mt. Judea High School in 2010. He liked to fish and hunt and collected guns and knives. He enjoyed camping, hiking, riding his motorcycle, and playing slot machines. He never met a stranger and always made new friends.
He is preceded in death by Edith Cooper, Jim Cooper, Jimmy Sims, Opaline Amick, Carolyn Amick, and Lawrence Alley.
Gavin is survived by his parents, Larry and Sandy Amick, Crystal (Odom) Jordan and Larry (Bit) Amick, his step-day, Gary Wade Jordan, his ex-wife, Megan McCutcheon and his children, Parker Amick and Skilynn Amick, his brother Trevor Jordan, 2 step sisters, Kaylee and Bailey Jordan, his uncle Brian Amick, his aunt Trish, his cousin D. Nash, the Stamper family; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 6, 2024, from 12:00 Noon to 12:30 PM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Celebration of Life will be 12:30 PM on Monday, January 6, 2024, at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Burial will follow the service at Ben's Branch Cemetery near Mt. Judea. Josh Mathews will officiate.
Pallbearers are Trevor Jordan, Jerry Taylor, Allen Millsap, Thias Williams, Terryl Peveto, and Dustin Criner.
Honorary pallbearer is Brian Amick.
