Gary L. Phillips, age 66 of Diamond City, Arkansas passed away on November 17, 2015 in Lead Hill.
The son of Ed and Maxine (Switzer) Phillips was born March 31, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and had worked as an Engineer retiring from Florida Marine. He had lived in this area most of his life at attended the Lead Hill Church of Christ. He was the most unselfish and kind person you will ever meet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mike Phillips.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammie Breger and husband Carl of Lead Hill; his son, Donnie Phillips and wife Diana of Harrison; his brothers, Larry and wife Harmolene Phillips of Valley Springs; Dolph and wife Roberta Phillips of Harrison; Eddie and wife Ada Phillips and Don and wife Tammy Phillips all of Valley Springs; a sister, Sandy and husband Mickey Whited of Diamond City, AR; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Brittney, Zach, Bailey, Amber, Libbie, Zane and Morgan; 3 great grandchildren, Colton, Eliza and Roc; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 PM at Mapleleaf Cemetery in Harrison with Jeff Marriott officiating. Pallbearers are Chad Whited, Jeff Sharp, Andy Rains, Don Johnson, Joe Smith and John Kent. Honorary Pallbearers are his brothers and Carl Breger, Donnie Phillips Travis Ritter, Bailey Breger, Mickey Whited and Dustin Campbell.
Visitation is 6-8pm on Thursday at Coffman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Hospice of Berryville, 804 W. Freeman Ave, Berryville, AR 72616.
