Gary Fowler, age 76 of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at his home.

The son of Walter Fowler and Ava (Edgemon) Fowler was born October 1, 1948, in Harrison, Arkansas.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Weldon, sister- in- law Dorthy Fowler and his brother Bobby Fowler, his sister Cleetha, and brother-in-law Elvin Samuels, his sister Shirley and brother-in-law Gary Lee Farmer, and his brother-in-law Lytle James, his daughter Stephanie Fowler, and his great grand-daughter Lydia Eastwood.

Gary was a member of Boxley Baptist church and attended school there as a young child. Gary graduated from Jasper High School and began his long successful career working at the Fowler Lumber Company. He was a quiet and private person by nature, but he very much enjoyed discussing anything about business with anyone. He was very talented musically, and he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with friends. In his later years, he enjoyed more time spent at home with his family.

Gary is survived by his brother Larry and sister in-law Kim Fowler, his sister Connie James, his wife Latana Fowler, son Loren Fowler, and daughter Marion Fowler. He is also survived by his first wife, Glenda Sue, and their children: son, Chris Fowler and wife Susa, and daughters Sonya Cates and Leigh-Anne Kimbrough and her husband Daniel, 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Craig Villines officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Sherman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Loren Fowler, Clint Fowler, Grant Fowler, Carey James, Vixon James, and Joe Paul James.

Honorary pallbearer is Travis Hancock.
