Gary Dewayne Carney age 53 of Swain, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at his home.
He was born December 11, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Doyle and Fern (Simmons) Carney. He was a steel worker for Hackney Ladish, Inc. in Russellville and a member of Local 1510 Boiler Makers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fern Carney and a brother, Larry Carney.
Survivors are his parents, Doyle and Laura Carney of Nail, AR; two sons, Brandon Carney and Vatisha of Piercetown, AR and Larry Carney of the home; two daughters, Dequita Williams and husband, Billy of Jasper, AR and Lyndsey Berry and husband, Donnie of Harrison, AR; two brothers, James Carney and wife, Eunice of Nail, AR and Terry Carney and wife, Becky of Nail, AR; two sisters, Donna Carney of Harrison, AR and Racheal Rackley and husband, Jack of Russellville, AR; seven grandchildren, Vanessa, Mythias, Emiree, Caza, Brodie, Donovan and Landon.
Funeral service was Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Deer School Gymnasium with Bobby Young and Loren Collins officiating. Burial followed in Nail Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers were Billy Williams, Donnie Berry, Tim Nichols, Dennis Bruhn, Jack Rackley, Andy Bolin and John Bennett.
