Garry Lyn Reddell, age 53 of Hasty, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of Elzie and Carolyn Sue (Martin) Reddell was born May 26, 1967 in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Hollis and Imo Reddell and George and Mary Martin.
Garry was an active volunteer in the community. He was the Fire Chief of Hasty Fire Dept. and a firefighter for many years. He was on the Board of Directors for the Newton County Fair and Rodeo. He was a First Responder and Justice of the Peace of Newton County.
Garry was also a pee wee basketball coach for Western Grove. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He was a family man and his family meant everything to him.
Garry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Tammy Reddell of Hasty; his mother, Carolyn Sue Reddell of Hasty; his son, Tanner Reddell and his wife Kirsten of Pueblo, CO; his daughters, Erica Reddell and her boyfriend Myles Becker of Pendleton, OR and Morgan Reddell and her boyfriend, Kenny Calhoun of Russellville, AR; his brother, Shaunie Reddell and his wife Donna of Piercetown, AR; his grandson, Colter Reddell; and many nephews, nieces, and other family members who will miss him deeply.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR. with Brother Jim Bohannon officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery.
There will be an open visitation from 8:30 to 4:00 Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Martin, Randy Byrd, Mike Dixon, Richard Campbell, Randy Samons, Thomas Lephiew, Michael Campbell, and Chris Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers are Hasty Fire Department, Newton County Fair Board; Leroy Harris; and Cody Middleton.
In compliance with state Covid-19 mandates, everyone over age 10 is required to furnish and wear a mask and practice social distancing.
