Obituary
Garrett Lee "Buff" Dean, age 27 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
The son of Alan Lee Dean and Melveta (England) Waldrop, he was born April 16, 1981 in Harrison, Arkansas.
He touched every friend he ever made in a very special and memorable way. Each one cried as they were told of his passing, but he let all of us know that he was ready to tell us "Good-bye".
As his brother, Dustin told Garrett it was alright to go, he breathed his last breath and a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Garrett stepped into eternity pain free.
Garrett loved his family and friends, Hog ball and old trucks.
He was an avid Razorback fan.
Let us all keep Garrett in our hearts as we love one another. Think of him when you root for the hogs and see old trucks!
Garrett's grandmothers, Ruby Dean and Angie England preceded him in death, along with his uncles, Charles and Wayne Dean.
Survivors are his mother and step-father, Melveta and Tony Waldrop of Omaha; his father, Alan Dean of Valley Springs; brothers, Dustin Dean and his wife, Tammy of Alpena and Wesley Burdine of Valley Springs; sisters, Heather Dean of Bixby, OK and Alana Dean of Valley Springs. He is also survived by his "special" niece and nephew, Abigail and Elijah Dean; his grandfathers, Fletcher Dean and Joe England and step-grandparents, Jerry and Toka Griffitt.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Services were Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the funeral home chapel with Dennis Sisco officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick England, Doyle Scrivner, Randall Keele, Josh Wagner, Stacy King, Jerry Griffitt, Tony Blair, and Richie Eddings. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Rodney Routsong and Nurse Pamela and Dr. Stephen Hennigan and Nurse Diana.
Memorials may be made in Garrett's memory to the University of Arizona, Valley Fever Center, Mail Stop 1-111INF, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723.
