Freddy Joe Potter, age 65 of Everton, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The son of Ben and Hazel (Potts) Potter was born July 8, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and watching westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don Potter.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Shirley (McVey) Potter of the home; sons, Brad Potter and wife Michelle and Shawn Potter and wife Sylvia; daughters, Susan Thompson and husband Doug and Kim Edwards and husband Randy, all of Everton; brothers, Ross Potter of Everton and Jerry Potter and wife Phyllis of Ocala, Florida; sisters, Mava Barney and husband Gary of Carmel, Indiana and Connie Bell of Nobelsville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Fern Potter of Columbia, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Ben Thompson, Colton Edwards, Jennifer Thompson, Chase Edwards, Brooklyn Potter, Tel Potter, and Ty Potter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday, January 30, 2014 with the service Friday, January 31, 2014, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Pastor Roger Rogers and Rev. Dave Smith officiated.
Burial followed in Western Grove Cemetery with pallbearers being Doug Thompson, Randy Edwards, Ben Thompson, Colton Edwards, Chase Edwards, Tel Potter, and Ty Potter.
Honorary pallbearers were Jennifer Thompson and Brooklyn Potter.
