Obituary

Freddie Carl "Fred" Scott, age 65, of Harrison, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The son of the late Jonathan and Wanda (Varner) Scott was born January 18, 1959 in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Scott.

Fred is survived by his wife Debrah Kay "Debbie" Scott of the home; daughter, Kim Moser and husband Deon; son, Jason Bell and wife Charlene all of Harrison, AR; three grandsons, Ethan Moser and wife Jessica of Branson, MO, Brendan King of Fayetteville, AR, and Dalton Moser and wife Maggie of Harrison, AR; three brothers, Mike Williams and wife Linda of Roland, OK, Gary Scott and wife Tammy of Keystone Heights, FL, and Jonathan Scott of New Lisbon, WI; three sisters, Renae Brockman and husband Jason of Milton, WI, Michelle Farmer and husband Glenn of Harrison, AR, and Harlene Scott of Fort Smith, AR; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Fred drove a truck most of his working years and was not afraid of hard work. He encouraged others to work hard too.

He married the love of his life, Debbie in Harrison, Arkansas. They were together 26 years, and the love they had for each other never failed. Fred was proud of Debbie and gave her many pet names. He bragged about her to everyone and even when he was sick, he still bragged about her to the hospital staff.

Fred enjoyed reading his bible and taught himself to be a better reader by reading it over and over again. He loved sharing Jesus with anyone and everyone.

He had a special gift with animals and children. He would make time to give attention to the children. He also made friends with all the animals, and they trusted him. Fred mentored many young people. He was especially close to his nephew, Hank. He immensely enjoyed time with his great granddaughter, Lily. He schooled his nephew Jeffrey in the everyday things of life and he was proud of the life achievements made by his nephew Zach and niece Amanda. All of his younger siblings, cousins, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews held a special place in his heart. A multitude of children and young people who had no kinship to Fred were touched by his genuine care toward them.

He rarely asked for help but was always quick to help others. He could hold the attention of everyone in the room with tales of his life adventures. His heart was full of love for everyone and everyone loved him.
