Freda Alice Harris, age 63 of Alpena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at her home in Alpena.

The daughter of Henry and Eula (Glen) Mangold, she was born January 6, 1945 in Galena, Kansas.

She had volunteered for veteran's affairs and worked at a Green Forest thrift shop.

Her parents preceded her in death, along with her first husband, J.C. Martin; her second husband, James J. Harris; a grandson, Justin Martin; a brother, James Mangold; and a sister, Lola Bates.

Survivors are her children, Gary Lee Martin and wife, Spring of Harrison, Debbie Napier and husband, Donald of Pleasant Shade, Tennessee, Lisa Rains and husband, John Kent and Jennifer Rine and husband, Allen, all of Harrison; sisters, Dorothy Youngblood and husband, Jessie of Osage, Arkansas, Edith Kleinert of Alpena, Wanda Gray and husband, Billy of Harrison, Leavda Felix and husband, Warren also of Harrison, and Alberta Mangold of Marshall, Arkansas.

She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Memorial committal services were held Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren.
