IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Franklin "Vince"
George
November 27, 1953 – December 17, 2025
Franklin Vincent George, II, of Western Grove, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was 72 years old.
The son of Frankin Vincent George, I and Rosemary (Smith) George was born on November 27, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio.
Vince was a dedicated high school teacher and coach, serving as a basketball and baseball coach for more than 15 years before his retirement. His final years in education were spent with the Ozark Mountain School District, where he earned the love, respect, and admiration of countless students and colleagues. Vince had a true passion for teaching and mentoring young people, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Above all else, Vince was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. Known for his great sense of humor, Vince was a lighthearted prankster whose contagious smile and joyful spirit brightened every room he entered.
Vince was a devout Christian and faithfully attended Western Grove Bible Church. In his free time, he enjoyed cutting firewood and watching college football. While he jokingly admitted to being a slight Razorback fan, his true loyalty belonged to his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Vince will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his faith, laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn George; his parents; and one sister, Sherry del Bianco.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy George; one daughter, Rhonda (Wayne) Berry; one son, Shane George (Jay Williams); two sisters, Sandra (Bruce) Reese and Cindy Harper; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Stroud, Cheyenne Berry, Vincent Wilson, and Kaedon Bohannon; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Per Vince's wishes no service will be held.
