Obituary

Frank Edward Young, of Harrison, passed away on December 18, 2021 at the age of 89.

The son of John Wally and Rura Edith (Brotherton) Young was born on November 4, 1932 in Harmon, Arkansas.

Ed was an Army veteran during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany for a short time. In his younger years, Ed was known as one of the best welders and mechanics around.  He worked for Claridge for 48 years.  He enjoyed pawn shops, trading and was always looking for a bargain.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, GW, Crump, and Henry Young; and four sisters, Ruby Pannell, Ruth Forsee, Mary Brownfield, and Georgia Thompson.

Survivors include three children, Sandy Wright and husband, Tony, Duane Young and wife, Anne, and Gina Blackwell and husband, Joel, all of Harrison; three sisters, Joyce Young, of Harrison, Hester Noggle, of Virginia, and Martha Moore, of Beaverton, OR; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

"To everyone that asked about me, tell them all "Bye", as he waved. These were some of the last words Ed spoke.

Graveside service is Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Brittain Cemetery, near Olvey.  Pastor Bobby Young will officiate. Pallbearers include his son, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
