IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Sims
May 25, 1926 – January 24, 2019
Frances Sims, 92, of Compton, Arkansas, passed away at Forsyth Nursing Home, January 24, 2019, after a long illness surrounded by friends and family.
She was born Frances Helene Phillips, May 25, 1926 in Osage, Arkansas to the late Jess and Nora Phillips.
Frances married Floyd Sims of Compton, Arkansas on January 18, 1946. She is survived by three daughters, Helen Bealert of Novato, CA, Teresa Lingerfelt of Springfield, MO and Gloria Carr of Branson, MO. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and three sons.
Frances enjoyed all community activities and participated as an officer for many years in the Homemaker's Club that she always just called "the club".
Frances was a wonderful cook and gardener. Over the years, many a pie supper and community gathering was privy to her amazing pies. Her front yard was filled with amazing flowers and inside the house would sometimes be a plant or two that you really shouldn't be able to grow here. When county fair time came around there was never a category that Frances did not enter. Car loads of crafts, flowers, vegetables and food all came home with a blue ribbon that you could see proudly displayed in her home. She will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Plumlee Cemetery with Pastor Billy Rogers officiating. There will be an open visitation at the funeral home Monday prior to the service from 8:00 AM to Noon. Pallbearers are family and friends.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care given to Frances by her Forsyth Nursing and Rehab family and also Preferred Hospice, Pastor James and Carol and James Gunther.
