Floyd Wayne West, age 68 of Diamond City, AR, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at his home.
The son of Homer and Mattie (Parker) West, was born March 7, 1940 at Moultan, AL.
He had been a laborer with Local 477 in Springfield, IL and he enjoyed re-building old cars.
His parents preceded him in death, along with a sister, Michelle West and a brother, Jackie West.
Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Dorothy (Hudson) West, of the home; daughters, Judy Thompson and her husband, Mike, of Danvers, IL and Linda Taylor and her husband, Dale, of Bergman; brothers, Billy West, of Burdette, AR, Hershelle West and Rickie West, both of Alabama, and Jim West, of Springfield, IL; sisters, Betty West, of Gary, IN, Patricia Mahan, of Osceola, AR, Shirley Calhoun, of Alabama, and Virginia McCann, of Searcy, AR; three grandchildren, Amber Nicole Ply, Kenneth Neel, and Zachary Taylor; two step-grandchildren, Dayne Thompson and Eric Thompson; and Four great grandchildren, Leah Thompson, Allie, Ashton, and Aiadan.
Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2008 from 10 A.M. until the service begins at 1 P.M. at the Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Marge Doyle, Rev. Glenn Crenshaw and Seamus Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill. Pallbearers are Danny West, Lou Bruley, Kenny Gibbs, James Sprinkles, Carl Fleener, and Steven Matthew Green.
