Flora Maxine Cox, age 95, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison.

The daughter of Andy Burton Knapp and Cora (Heeter) Knapp was born on February 1, 1925 in Sturkie, Arkansas.

Flora started teaching when she was 21 years old and taught business education in Johnson City and Borger, Texas for 39 years. She loved her students as if they were her own children and celebrated their life accomplishments after graduating.  She also loved hosting and entertaining in her home.  Flora loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Cora Knapp; her husband of 56 years, W.F. "Bill" Cox; her sister, Vesta Hammond and her brothers, J.L. Knapp and W.O. Knapp.

Flora is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and her former students, all who loved her and will miss her.

No local services will be held.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Crofts Funeral Home, 305 E. Elm St., Johnson, City, Texas with burial following at Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.  On-line condolences may be left at www.crofts-crowfuneralhome.com .
