Fern E. Spencer, age 88 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The daughter of Jesse and Anna (Williams) Gephart, she was born December 3, 1919 in Humrack, Illinois.

She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church where she enjoyed being a greeter and secretary for 17 years. She enjoyed her church family and also enjoyed taking pictures of everyone. Fern was a very thoughtful person, always remembering special occasions.

Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husbands, Arville Robinson and Doyle Spencer; three brothers, Ralph Paul Gephart, Woodrow Gephart, and Perl Gephart; and two sisters, Augusta McMaster and Wanetta Stark.

Survivors are her step-daughters, Joan Power and husband, Ronald Power of Gravois Mills, MO and Sharon Arbaugh and Joe Rush of Blue Springs, MO; nephew, Rick Watson and wife, Jamie Watson and their children, Adriann and Camden Watson all of Harrison; niece, Inas Moseley of Harrison; step-grandchildren, Rhonda and Randall Power; and several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friend, Corbie Berry of Jasper and her caretaker and special friend, Lonnie White of Everton.

Visitation for Fern was Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services were Monday, November 24, 2008 at Faith Assembly of God Church with Rev. Arlis Thrasher officiating.
Burial followed in Jasper Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rick Watson, Lonnie Spencer, Randy Spencer, Arless Smith, Bill Phillips, and Jim Snipes. Honorary pallbearers were members of Faith Assembly of God Church and Dwain Hudson.
