Fern Lee (Morgan) Smith, age 69 of Jasper, AR, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.
The daughter of Lee and Beulah (Holt) Morgan, she was born December 27, 1938 in Jasper, AR.
She was a life long resident of Newton County where she was a member of Jasper First Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker.
She and her husband, Denver Ray Smith were married July 7, 1956. She attended Gum Springs Church, where he is the Pastor. She had also attended many other churches with her husband during his ministry.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with a brother, Clyde Morgan and an infant child.
Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Denver Ray Smith of the home; sisters, Lois Wallace of Pruitt, Magdalene Clayborn of Harrison, and Opal Rhoades of Jasper. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services were Monday, July 14, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church in Jasper with Bro. Troy Walker officiating. Burial followed in Jasper Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Rhoades, Homer Rhoades, Daniel Smith, Russell Morgan, David Morgan, and Billy Joe Wallace.
