IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Faye
Scroggins
October 13, 1933 – May 19, 2022
Ava Faye Keeton Scroggins was born in a log cabin in the Cecil Cove near Compton in Newton County, Arkansas on October 13, 1933. She passed from this earthly life and entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 19, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Bertha Reavis Keeton and two brothers Arvin Keeton and Wayne Keeton and wife Viola.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Virgil Paul Scroggins, two daughters, Debra Villines & husband Gary and Paulette Jech and husband, Jeff all of Harrison. She was the very proud grandma of three grandchildren: Jacque Villines Adams & husband Andy of Fayetteville, John Jech & wife Karen of Harrison, and Jason Jech of Hindsville; three great grandchildren, Seth & Zachary Adams of Fayetteville and a bonus great granddaughter, Alyssa Hargrave & husband Brandon of Harrison.
Faye & Paul were married at the tender ages of 16 & 18. Throughout their lives they held many different jobs. Faye was Tupperware sales lady, worked at Hyer Boot factory in Kansas, restaurants, the Garment Factory, Sutton's woodworking, Rock Tenn, and in retail at Ben Franklin & Horton's Clothing store. She & Paul were instrumental in forming the Compton Volunteer Fire Dept. Faye was an accomplished seamstress, loved to crochet, and was an avid reader.
Faye was always up for a new adventure. She and Paul traveled throughout the United States, often taking their grandchildren with them or some friends. They had a wide circle of friends and enjoyed socializing & dancing the Two Step.
Faye and Paul raised their daughters in a Christian home and Faye's faith in her Savior was always apparent in her life. As Faye's health and eyesight began to fail over the last 5 years, Paul became her caregiver and did an amazing job of it. Later on, Faye's daughters, Debra & Paulette shared her care giving. Even with her handicaps, Faye's feisty personality, sense of humor, and determination never dwindled. Her strong spirit and faith live on within her family today.
