Faye McGowan, age 96 of Hasty, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of John Henry Martin and Bessie (Gibson) Martin was born May 12, 1916 in Witts Spring, Arkansas.

She was a member of Hasty Holiness Church and had been a Christian for 80 years. She had worked for Levi Strauss and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo McGowan; a daughter, Dortha Martin; a brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Tressie Martin; a great-great-granddaughter, Emma Grace; and a niece, Barbara Smith.

Survivors are her son-in-law, Dalph Martin of Hasty; two grandchildren, Larry Martin and wife Pat of Omaha, Arkansas and Karen Greenhaw and husband Dale of Hasty; four great-grandchildren, Todd Martin, Amy Marshall and husband Tim, Judy Cape and husband Lewis, and Tracy Grinder and husband Matthew; four great-great-grandchildren, Jordan and Chloe Cape and Ross and Caleb Grinder. She is also survived by a niece, Jeanie Jenkins Wray.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Funeral service was Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Hasty Holiness Church with Jimmie Greenhaw and Derwin Martin officiating.

Burial followed in Hasty Cemetery with pallbearers being Tim Marshall, Lewis Cape, Matthew Grinder, Dale Gibson, Wes Guynn, and John Wray.

Honorary pallbearers were the staff and volunteers of the Hillcrest Home, the staff of Hospice of the Hills, Dr. Charles Klepper, and Amanda Chitsey.
