Obituary
Evert Frank Davis, age 80 of Hector, AR, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Russellville, AR.
The son of William Franklin and Mary (Lane) Davis, was born March 15, 1926 at Limestone, AR. He was united in marriage to Joyce A. Marable at Moreland, AR, February 4, 1966, by Bobby Chronister.
He had worked for Con-Agra Foods and had also worked for Cyclone Fence Company, in Oakland, CA.
He attended the Freewill Baptist Churchin Hector.
Those that preceded him in death were his parents; brothers, Noel, Loyd, and Boyd Davis; sisters, Emer Davis, Dorie Davis, Erie Smith, and Artie Lazarus; and a granddaughter, Heather Goodyear.
Survivors are his wife, Joyce Davis of the home; son, David Paul Davis of Russellville; step-children, Judy Hill of Atkins, Bill Root of Alabama, Paulette Clairday and Karen Voss, both of Dover, Keith L. Voss and Paul Dwain Voss, both of Hector; brothers, Floyd Davis of Prairie Grove and Byrlen Davis of Deer; sisters, Nora Plumlee and Viven Taylor, both of Deer; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, March 6 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Service was 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 7 at Hector Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Newport and Bro. Dale Blandon officiating. Burial was Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector. Pallbearers are his grandsons. Honorary pallbearer is Boone Clifford.
