Eva Nell Perdue Black went to be with her Lord and Savior June 18, 2013 at the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.
She was born December 30, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. Her son Billy "John" Perdue moved her to Harrison two years ago. Eva loved living here where she made some very special friends.
On Eva's journey in life she was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. She had been a Pastor and a Missionary where she started several Churches in Honduras, and where many souls were born into the Kingdom of God.
She worked for the Texas State Welfare as Coordinator for the entire state of Texas. Some years later she became a Truck Driver, traveling all over the United States where she looked for opportunities to tell others about Jesus. She worked and served others in her community. Her writings were published and she received awards for her beautiful poems.
Eva is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy "John" and Margaret Perdue of Harrison, Arkansas and Doug and Meloney Perdue of Dallas, Texas; grandsons, John David Perdue of Nashville, Tennessee, Joe Perdue and wife, Annie of Rockwall, Texas, Matt Perdue of Dallas, Texas, and Billy Dennis and wife Veronica of Dallas, Texas; granddaughters, Jessica Petroni and husband, Albert of Farmersville, Texas, Terry Vess of Harrison, Tammy Blevins of Austin, Texas, and Tina Garner of Harrison; great-grandchildren, Allen "AJ" Kylie, Sieira Dawn, Abbigale Miracle, Missy and Robbie Gale, and Jamie and Brandon Vess; and great-great-grandchildren, Tyler and Breyanna.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.
Eva will be buried in Dallas, Texas, next to her husband.
She was loved and will be missed by family and many friends. She truly was a life that loved and touched many lives for the Lord.
