Eugene W. Watson, age 71, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010, in Harrison, Arkansas. The son of William Watson and Hattie (Gentry) Watson was born December 26, 1938 in Pindall, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Watson and Hattie (Gentry) Watson Brown; his brother, Ralph Watson; and his step-father, Elmer Wilson.

Eugene was a former JP of Boone County. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed fishing, camping and watching the Razorbacks.

Eugene W. Watson is survived by his wife, Alta (Smith) Watson of the home; his sons, Eldon Watson and wife, Rhonda of Harrison, Billy Watson and wife, Madali of Indianapolis, Indiana and David Watson of Harrison; his daughters, Debbie Gerg and husband, Joe of Harrison and Tammy Brown of Harrison; his brother, Devoe Wilson and his wife, Christine of Harrison; his grandchildren, Shawn Gerg and wife, Daniyale, and Jordan, Darren, Ashley, and Maddie Watson; and his great grandchild, Braydon Gerg.

Funeral Service was Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Tollie Sutterfield and Rev. Bill Anderson officiating. Visitation was Wednesday, prior to the service. Burial was in Sanders Cemetery in Batavia, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Dennis Wilson, Colby Wilson, Glen Wheeler, Shawn Gerg, Jordan Watson, and Darren Watson.
