Eugene Victor "Gene" Moore, Jr., 89, of Deer, Arkansas, passed away on August 4, 2025.

He was born December 28, 1935, to Myrtle Ruth (Aulds) Moore and Eugene Victor Moore, Sr.

Gene was a math teacher for many years at Start High School in Start, LA, and Deer School in Deer, AR. He also served as a bus driver for Deer School.

Gene was married to Nellie Ruth (Nell) Williams and later to Martha Christine Woods. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and two sons, Mark and Ronnie.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Sue; sons Steve and Bill; stepchildren Jacque and Tim; grandchildren Steven, Jeremy, Justin, Gina, Andy, Sara, Katie, Charli, Luke, Morgan, Payton, Bailey, and Logan; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

A graveside service will follow Saturday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Ogden Cemetery in Limestone, AR.
