"Granny" Essie Juanita (Ramsey) Daniels, age 86 of Jasper, AR passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home in Jasper.
She was born October 19, 1919 at Wayton, AR the daughter of Connie Kline and Nancy Lee (Vaughn) Famsey. She worked in food service for Jasper School for 34 years, attended Jasper Assembly of God Church, and was a lifetime resident of Newton County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Remel Daniels in 1982; a daughter, Bernice Collins; a son, Wallace "Pood" Daniels; three brothers, Cecil, Shirley, and Ercie Ramsey; and a sister, Buna Brasel.
Granny Essie's survivors include her five children, Donna Kilgore, Ray Daniels, Gene Daniels, Paul Daniels, and Ronnie Daniels, all of Jasper, AR; brothers, Silva Ramsey of Parthenon, AR, Duel Ramsey and Shelley Ramsey of Lowell, AR, and J.W. Ramsey of Little Flock, AR; two sisters, Beatrice Smith of Parthenon and
Adella Willis of Jasper; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Granny Essie's funeral service was held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 12 at Jasper Assembly of God Church with Bro. Troy Walker and Bro. James Compton officiating. Burial was in Jasper Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ricky Kilburn, Josh Daniels, Clayton Daniels, Travis Daniels, Patrick Kilgore, Shane Kilgore, Nathan Chisum, Andy Daniels, and Tim Emerson. Honorary pallbearers were Kristy Kilgore, Mandy Daniels, Heather Brown, Tracy Phillips, Emily Kilburn, Martin Kilburn, Tucker Kilburn, Cody Phillips, Hayden Phillips, Bethany Daniels, Espn Daniels, Haley Daniels, Ethan Daniels, and Kaleb Brown.
