IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ernest
Woolley
October 21, 1941 – January 10, 2026
Ernie Woolley, age 84 of Bergman, Arkansas walked the Golden streets of heaven on January
10, 2026.
Ernie was born on October 21, 1941, in Claymont, Delaware, to Ernest and Marietta Woolley. In
1971, Ernie relocated to Harrison, Arkansas, after moving from Phoenix, Arizona, where he
would make this his home for the next 50 plus years. He met his bride Ann Woolley in 1964 and
married in 1965 and they shared the next 60 years together. He was the proud father of one
daughter Jeannie Hessenflow. Throughout his life, Ernie opened his home and heart to many
children through fostering, touching countless lives with his kindness, guidance, and unwavering
care. His compassion and willingness to serve others left a lasting impact on all who had the
privilege of knowing him.
Ernie pursued his education at the College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science at LeTourneau
University and also spent time studying at Moody Bible Institute. His faith was a central part of
his life, and he was a devoted member of Silver Valley Church for more than 50 years. During
that time, he faithfully served by leading the church's praise chorus.
Ernie's love for Jesus was evident to all who knew him. He often shared how richly the Lord had
blessed him, and his faith shone through both his words and his actions. When he was not
studying God's Word, Ernie could often be found out in the pasture, tending to his
cattle—another place where he found peace and purpose.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Marietta Woolley, his brother Mel, father
and mother-in-law Norman and Rena Brooks, and son in law Lonnie Hessenflow.
Ernie is survived by his wife Ann Woolley, daughter Jeannie Hessenflow. His grandchildren
Jamie Lemley (husband Chad), Zach Hessenflow (wife Brooklyn), Michael Downum, and Tyler
Hunter.
Ernie is also survived by and blessed with great-grandchildren Averie, Finley, and Daxton
Hessenflow, and Kendall and Walker Lemley. His cherished brother-in-law Ray Brooks (wife
Connie), niece Susan Harper (husband Richard Harper), and his nephew, Jason Brooks, along
with his great-niece Lauren McGuire and great-nephew Kellan McGuire.
In addition to his immediate family, Ernie cherished many bonus family members who held a
special place in his life. These include Deborah Hessenflow (Memaw), his bonus daughter, Judy
(Acuff) Shepard; bonus grandchildren Louis and Ashlund Mulanax, David and Samantha Kelley,
and Tyler and Stephanie Robinson; and bonus great-grandchildren Taylor and Cooper Mulanax,
Sammie-Jo and Boone Kelley, and Mileigh and Hunter Robinson. Along with a host of family
and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Silver Valley Church beginning at
1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place
immediately afterward at White Oak Cemetery.
