Eric Dwayne Wilson, age 36 of Jasper, AR, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his home in Jasper.

The son of Douglas Devoe Wilson and Barbara Bartlett was born June 7, 1987, in Harrison, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his father Douglas Wilson; grandfather, Devoe Wilson; maternal grandmother, Connie Kilgore; maternal grandfather, Dwayne Bartlett; and step-grandfather, Ira Kilgore.

Eric enjoyed going to church, hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeler racing.  He worked at Countryside Health and Rehabilitation in Jasper.  He also started the Newton County Chit-Chat and Newton County Swap Shop on Facebook.

Eric was a hard worker and a devoted father.  He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

Eric is survived by his mother, Barbara Bartlett of Jasper, and her friend, Russell Falconburg of Marble Falls, AR; his fiancée, Allisa Shiffert and their son, Bentley Shiffert of the home; his brother, Clayton Wilson and Mariah Williams and their children, all of Jasper; his sisters, Sarah Wilson of Missouri and Cara Wilson of Yellville, Arkansas; a special nephew, Easton Wilson; and many other family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

The visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, January 29, 2024, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Melinda Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Wilson, Brent Raulston, Colby Wilson, Brady Wilson, Chris Madison, Kirk Bolin, Bentley Shiffert, and Easton Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Bubba Gatlin, Josh Smith, Jeramie Bolin, Trey Martin, Mikey Reschke, and the Staff of Countryside Health and Rehab.
