Emma Faye (Hensley) Keys, age 86, of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Newton County Nursing Home.
The daughter of James Robert "Bob" and Arlie (Henson) Hensley was born on November 19, 1935 at Cave Creek, Arkansas.
She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and a 1955 graduate of Jasper High School. She was also a member of Jasper Assembly of God and a former volunteer at the Jasper Food Room.
Emma Faye loved reading her Bible, sewing, quilting and gardening. She also enjoyed walking when she was able. She was a wise, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will always be remembered by her grandsons for her "buttermilk cookies".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Arlie Hensley; her husband, Jimmy W. Keys; a daughter, Kathy Thomas; her twin brother, Porter "P.J." Hensley; numerous half siblings; her father and mother-in-law, Cecil and Edna Keys and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Emma Faye is survived by her son, Jimmy Wade Keys and wife Daphna of Jasper; her daughter, Diana Faye Nelson and husband Ed of Jasper; her son-in-law, Kevin Thomas of Marble Falls; two sisters, Hazel Lively and Maxine Christian; two brothers, William Custer "Bill" Hensley and wife Cindy and Morris Greenhaw; 8 grandsons, Josh Traywick and wife Nicole, Daniel Keys and wife Joanna, Jason Keys and wife Brittany, Colin Thomas, Karl Thomas and wife Chanda, James Thomas, Keaton Nelson (Lynette) and John Thomas; 2 granddaughters, Rachael Jones and husband Kevin and Amy Hale and husband Jeremy; 4 great grandchildren, Spencer, Emory, Lucas and Olivia and a host of nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Funeral service will be at 11AM, Saturday, March 19 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Jerry Patton officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral on Saturday, beginning at 10 AM.
Pallbearers are Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jasper Food Room, Shiloh Cemetery Fund or charity of your choice.
