Obituary
Elbert Charles Young, age 83 of Deer, AR passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at his home.
The son of Wolford B. and Cora Alice (Wilson) Young, was born May 14, 1924 at Nail, AR.
He had been a lifelong resident of Newton County and had worked in the timber industry for Virgil Martin Sawmill. He was a member of Nail Baptist Church and of the Swain Masonic Lodge.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his first wife, Agnes Young; a son, Jerry Young; four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors are his wife, Jimmie Young, of the home; his son, Gary Young, of Cabot; two daughters, Bonita Young, of Russellville and Jo Ann Breedlove and her husband, James, of Benton; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Swain Cemetery with Jerry Spurlock officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Baughman, Stanley Gilmore, Dave Liggett, Nick Martin, Don Rowland, and Olen Young. Honorary pallbearers were his many friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Swain Cemetery Fund, c/o Bobby Young, HCR 62 Box 668, Deer, AR 72628.
