Edwin P. Canarsky, age 83 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Skaggs Community Hospital in Branson, Missouri.
The son of F. W. and Elizabeth (Zobel) Canarsky, he was born April 11, 1925 at Bancroft, Nebraska. He was retired as a Tele-communications Engineer for Alltel Telephone Company. He had lived here for 25 years, moving from Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and polka music.
His parents preceded him in death along with three brothers, and one sister.
Surviving is his wife, Luella (Liemer) Canarsky of the home; four sons and their spouses, Alex and Nata Canarsky of Florida, Paul and Goretti Canarsky of Nebraska, James and Mary Canarsky of Nebraska, and Jack Canarsky of Arkansas; two daughters and husbands, Brenda and Herb Reed of Nebraska and Lori and Jerry Horseley of Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Cremation and arrangements have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or the charity of choice.
Memorial services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at First Lutheran Church in Harrison with Pastor Mike Ada officiating.
