Edward Robert Emerson, 83 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at his home.
The son of Clarence and Ethel (Busch) Emerson was born June 29, 1932 at Hempstead, New York.
He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 7 years and was employed with General Dynamics in California as a test pilot, where he retired in 1990 and moved from Kernville, CA to Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joy and 1 grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; his 5 children, Landon Emerson, Skip (Linda) Emerson of Cleveland, TN; Leslee (Hrand) Duvalian of Conway, AR; David Emerson of Bogota, Columbia; Jason Emerson of TN; 4 step-children, Donna Lott of Fernandina Beach, FL; Denise (Mike) Moore of Harrison; Chuck Lott of Georgetown, KY; Clifford (Brenda) Lott of Harrison; his sister, Ethel Mae (James)Sanders of Sun City, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Bible Church, 408 Ozark St, in Harrison, AR, with O.J. Gloor and Paul Tyre officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or the Gideon's.
