Obituary
Edna Lucille McAlister, age 87 of Osage, AR passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The daughter of William and Laura (Tune) Underdown was born December 12, 1918 in Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce McAlister; son, Troy McAlister; four grandchildren; and three brothers. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed cooking and doing laundry.
Survivors are her six children, Lucy McNair of Osage, Mary Armer, Charlene Davidson, and Ronnie McAlister all of Harrison, Bob McAlister of Alpena, and Don McAlister of Green Forest; eleven grandsons: eleven granddaughters;
sixteen great grandchildren; forty five great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service was held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 8 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Burial was in Alpena Cemetery. Steve Armer, Lonnie McNair, Wayne McNair, Brad McAlister, Scott McAlister, Todd McAlister, and Dale Davidson served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included all of her other grandchildren, Dr. Sam Scroggins, the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of Washington Regional Medical Center, and Boone County Home Health Caregivers. Visitation was between 7-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
