Edna Marie Daniels, age 88 of Wayton, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
The daughter of Tom and Jewell (Reynolds) Willey was born on May 3, 1924 at Clarksville, Arkansas.
She had taught school at Deer for over 30 years and was a member of the Wayton Freewill Baptist Church.
She grew up during the depression years and her family followed the fruit harvest to make a living. She was most proud of being a graduate from the University of Central Arkansas.
Marie loved to sew and make stuffed animals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, her flower gardens and playing with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vearl Daniels; two brothers, J.H. Willey and Evern Willey.
Survivors are one son, Erby Daniels of Wayton; three daughters, Phyllis Casey of Smith Mountain, Sharon Daniels of Harrison and Diana Spradley of Broken Arrow, OK; one sister, Bessie Waters of Harrison; one sister-in-law, Jo Marie Willey of Wayton; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services were Friday, April 5, 2013 at Wayton Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Taylor and Wallace Casey officiating.
Burial followed in Wayton Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Wallace Casey, David Casey, Michael Spradley, Ryan Casey, Joey Casey, Anthony Casey, Garrett Isley, and Jacob Haddock. Honorary pallbearers were other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
