Obituary

Edna Lea Campbell, 88 of Mount Judea, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at home.

The daughter of Walker and Victoria (Dean) Lively was born March 1, 1935 in Bass, Arkansas. She was a lifelong Newton County Resident and a member of Mount Judea Church of Christ.

Edna enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting.  She was an excellent cook who loved to bake pies for her family, and a loving mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her many grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Campbell; her parents, her son-in-law, Donnie Hill; and two brothers-in-law, Monte Hipple and G.W. Campbell.

Edna is survived by her son, Ronnie Campbell (Gail); daughter, Connie Hill; two sisters, Elva Dodson (Lewell) and Thelma Hipple; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Charles Campbell; her best friend whom she loved like a sister, Bobbie Noss; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM Monday, March 13, 2023 at Mount Judea Church of Christ, and the funeral service will follow at 2PM at the church with Michael Toland officiating.  Burial will be in Sexton Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Hill, Brian Hill, Lee Campbell, Chad Livingston, Greg Toland, and Alex Langley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sexton Cemetery Fund.
