Edmund Alburton Griggs, Jr., of Harrison, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023.  He was 83 years old.

The son of Edmund Alburton Griggs, Sr. and Rita M. (O'Donnell) Griggs was born on May 18, 1940 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Ed served in the U.S. Army as Military Police from 1958-1966.  He was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sheila Jette; and one brother, David Griggs.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Griggs; two sons and their wives, Mark and Jana Griggs and Wayne and Debekka Griggs; one daughter, Dolores Shickel; one sister, Rosemary DiMascola; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.  The Celebrant will be Father Ben Riley. The Mass will be preceded by a rosary at 9:30 AM.
