Obituary
Edith Murial Meier, age 75 of Harrison, passed away February 26, 2011 at her son's home.
The daughter of Harold Thibeault and Dorothy G. (Tibbo) Avyard was born September 24, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was a volunteer for the Humane Society for 8 years. She was also a member of many local lodges in Harrison. She enjoyed crafting, needle pointe, Japanese embroidery and watching movies.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Edith is survived by her sons, Jeff Meier and Kurt Meier and his girlfriend, Brenda Anthony; her brother Jimmy Avyard; her sister, Judy Chiello both of Rhode Island; her ex daughter-in-law, Lisa Meier; her grandchildren, Hailey, Jacob, Benjamin, Jeremy, Christopher, Christina, Becky and R.J.; her great grandchildren, Abbigail and Jayden; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 6:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeannie McKeon, Suzanne Ledbetter, Luella Kanaski, Kay, Laura Shaw and Sheila Snow.
Ede's wishes were donations be made to the Humane Society in care of Coffman Funeral Home.
