Edith Kimes, of Harrison, passed from this life on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at The Pat and Willard Walker Hospice House of Fayetteville.She was 71 years old.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 10a.m.; also at Coffman Funeral Home with Heath Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Andrew Hendrix, Earl Wayne Hendrix, Jim Kimes, Randy Kimes, Harold Hendrix and Tommy Hunt.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kent Kimes, Clay Lair, M.F. Cash, Jim Hauer, James Criner, Doyle Jr. Hendrix and Walker Deakins.
The daughter of Belford Hendrix and Verlie Parker was born on August 21, 1943 in Eula, AR. Edith worked for Levi's Strauss and was the co-owner of rental properties throughout the Harrison area. She loved trail riding with her family and was a past member the Fox Trotters Association.
She is proceeded in death by her father, Belford Hendrix. Her husband of thirty years, Lelon Kimes and 2 brothers, Doyle Hendrix and Dale Hendrix.
Survivors include two sons, Curtis Lelon Kimes of Clemore, OK and Abe Lewis Kimes of Harrison, AR.; two daughters, Karen Kay Cox and her husband Tony Cox of Bruno Pyatt, AR; and Renita Bernell Trumbo and husband Sean Trumbo of Fayetteville, AR.; four grandchildren, Crystal Hall, Tanna Danisevich, Alexa Estrella and Lillian Clark; three brothers, Daryl Hendrix, J.W. Hendrix and Eudioce Hendrix; two sisters, Lucy Reddell and Deniece Honeycutt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
