Obituary
Edith J. Johnson, age 87 of Springdale, Arkansas formerly of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 29, 2009 at Windcrest Health & Rehab in Springdale.
The daughter of Luther and Eva (Smith) Grisham, she was born July 22, 1922 at Osage, Arkansas.
Edith had lived most of her life in Boone County and enjoyed needlework and gardening when raising her family.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Willie Johnson; a sister, Iva Grisham Shepherd; and a brother, Fred Grisham.
Survivors are her son, Jewell Johnson and his wife, Rita of Harrison; daughter, Judy Donaldson and her husband, Eddie of Springdale; brothers, Clifford Grisham and Paul Grisham, both of Boise, Idaho and Darrell Grisham of Bakersfield, California; sisters, Aldene DaRosa of King City, California and Yvonne Richmond of Grover Beach, California; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Edith was Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Graveside services were Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Plumlee Cemetery with Bobby Williams officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Eddings, Robert Reeves, Austin Eddings, Jim Lewis, Richard Rushing, and Joe "Jody" Carver.
