Announcing the arrival of our dear mother into the heavenly realms, Edith Loretta Campbell left peacefully on May 8, 2015 at Piercetown, Arkansas at the age of 68. She was the daughter of Lenro Bolin and Walcie Flud Bolin and was born February 22, 1947 at Harrison, Arkansas. Edith was a lifetime resident of Newton County and is now dancing with the angels.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband Howard Campbell and her daughter Rose; brothers Leroy Bolin and Troy Bolin; sisters Vecil Middleton and Vela Campbell.
Edith is survived by her son Clifford Campbell and her daughter Julia Freeman; grandchildren Corey, Zachary and Alex Freeman; great grandchildren Devon Freeman of Harrison, Vayden, Hayden and Xander Freeman of Piercetown; sisters Annie Campbell of Vendor and Diana Jones of Bergman.
Edith was a beautiful gem who touched so many over her lifetime. She had great tenacity, determination, was family focused and always full of fun and vitality. She was like a ray of sunshine in a room. She loved everyone she met and in turn was loved and cherished by many. She was still alert and had opportunity to say goodbye to a lot of friends and family. It was a blessing to all. She has surely left a lasting mark on all our lives. Love and memories will remain until we meet again.
Visitation was Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. We joined in celebration of Edith's life Tuesday, May 12th at 2 p.m. at Coffman funeral Home in Jasper with Wesley Ricketts officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Corey Freeman, Zachary Freeman, Alex Freeman, Junior Royce, Tommy Summers and Emanuel Campbell. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Freeman and Allen Flippo.
