Edath Fay Smith age 94 of Vendor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of Henry and Martha (Reddell) Campbell was born on October 17, 1922 at Vendor, Arkansas.

Edath was a housewife and a great mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and animals. Edath had lived most of her life in Newton County and attended both Vendor Assembly of God Church and Mt. Judea Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Claude L. Smith; two brothers Billy Joe Campbell and an infant brother; one sister Edith Smith; two daughters Cora Lee Campbell and an infant twin daughter; a great-grandson Kevin Poyner and a son-in-law Hugh Ballard.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Helen and Charles Sippel of Harrison, Mildred Dotson of Pelsor, Faye and Rodger Hang of Harrison and Judy and Randy Summers of Vendor; one brother Norman Campbell (Freeda) of Harrison; four sisters Henrietta Hawkins (Marvin) of Alpena, Betty Rorie (Tom), Mary Sue Albarado (Perry) and Jane Lewis all of Harrison; a sister-in-law June Campbell-Savage (Franklin) of Harrison; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Vendor Assembly of God Church with Bro. Philip Pittman and Bro. Wesley Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.

Visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Brent Taylor, Dusty Summers, Randy Dotson, Ronny Burdine, Michael Burdine, Robert Burdine and Kenny Poyner
