Obituary
Earl Ernest Magness Jr., age 66 of Marshall, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of Earl Magness Sr. and Verna (Collins) Magness was born on February 12, 1950 in Simla, Colorado.
Earl has been a resident of Boone, Newton and Searcy Counties for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on the farm, hunting and fishing. He especially loved riding his side by side.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Halley Joyce Magness.
He is survived by a son, Jeff Magness and wife Faline of Marshall, Arkansas; a daughter, Cindy Magness of Marshall, Arkansas; 1 brother, Danny Magness of Diamond City, Arkansas; 3 sisters, Donna Cain of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Linda Garrison of Harrison, Arkansas and Mary Ann Sheffler of Cranberry, Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Magness, Trevor Willcutt and Samantha Willcutt and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Burial will follow at Witt Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be open Tuesday, October 11 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Tim McGovern, Clyde White, Rob Campbell, Tyler Magness, Don J. Switzer and Trevor Willcutt. Honorary pallbearers include Ed Sheffler, Larry Crumley, Danny Joe Ruff, Danny Magness and JJ Caudle.
