IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dwain Harold
Harp
August 9, 1938 – June 20, 2022
Dwain Harold Harp, of the Hopewell community, passed away on June 20, 2022 at his home at the age of 83.
The son of Hulin and Sybil (Cone) Harp was born in Harrison, Arkansas on August 9, 1938. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County. Dwain played football and was a Harrison Goblin through and through. In 1958, he met Patricia Crow at school, and they married and started a family.
Dwain worked for Turney Wood Products, where he built church pews. He later drove a milk truck. He loved his work as a truck driver the most. He started at Garrison Motor Freight, and stayed with them when it became Smith Transfer, and later Arkansas Freightways (which later became American Freightways). He eventually had to retire due to his health.
He loved to hunt and fish, and the family took many camping trips to Diamond City. He was a ham radio operator and loved spending time on his radio and his computer.
Dwain is survived by his daughter Cathy (Dale) Minor, his daughter Michelle (Roy) Miller, all of Harrison. He is also survived by a large extended family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 64 years, Patricia Crow Harp; a daughter, Cheryl Harp Campbell; a brother, Harlin "Red" Harp; his parents Hulin and Sybil Harp, and a grandson, Stephen Miller.
No services are planned per Dwain's wishes. He missed his Patty and has been reunited with her.
Arrangements under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
