Duel Edgebirt Patton, age 71 of Pyatt, Arkansas, formerly of Springfield passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Theron Edgebirt and Nina Ruth (Stanley) Patton was born February 5, 1939 in Pyatt.
He had lived in Pyatt for nine years, moving there from Springfield. He had worked for over 33 years at all major bread companies, except Continental. He also had worked for the Springfield R12 School System for 11 years and had owned and operated his own lawn business for 10 years.
His parents preceded him in death, along with two brothers, Will and Robert Patton and a sister, Mary Allen.
Survivors are his wife, Donna Sue Patton of the home; sons, Tommy Edgebirt Patton of Louisburg, Missouri and Douglas Vaughn Patton and his wife, Nancy of Grand Prairie, Texas; brothers, Sam Patton of Pyatt, Vernon Patton of Harmon, Arkansas and Johnny Patton of Pyatt; sisters, Norma Auslam of Springfield and Anita Tabor of Fairbanks, Alaska. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday, June 28, 2010 with the funeral service at Tuesday, June 29, 2010, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas.
Burial was in Theron Patton Family Cemetery at Pyatt with pallbearers being Johnny Patton, Sam Patton, Chris Patton, Kyron Patton, Duel Patton, and Denver Patton.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Patton, Jim Whitlock, Don Crigler, Larry Tabor, and Alvin Lawson.
