Doyle Ray "Barney" Hickman, age 72 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away June 11, 2021 in Harrison.

The son of Doyle Dennis and Lela Faye (Riggs) Hickman was born on March 16, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Barney never met a stranger.  He was a founder and active member of Crooked Creek Cowboy Church, a member of Harrison Roundup Club and was active in their kid's playday, and was involved in the wagon train from Harrison to Springdale and cooked for them every year.  He loved his horses and dogs and loved working on his tractor.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Hickman and a sister, Jackie Sue (Hickman) Riggins.

Barney is survived by a son, Shayne Hickman and his wife Dora of Omaha, Arkansas; a daughter, Mandy Hickman of Harrison; a stepson, Dale Peck and wife Melissa of Harrison; a stepdaughter, Sheri McLean and husband David of Harrison; a brother, Danny Hickman of Harrison; ten grandchildren, Ashton and Isaac Moore, Lillian and Alexander Hickman, Krystan Wright, David and Shawn McLean, and Dawson, Maddox and Gretchen Peck; six great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Grubb Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Meredith and Pastor Ray Edwards officiating.  A private burial will take place at White Church Cemetery.
